The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castello di Brolio is the great wine of Barone Ricasoli, judged by Wine Spectator as one of the 5 best wines in the world, and is born in vineyards located in Gaiole in Chianti, in the Chianti Classico area.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes, and with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fermented on the skins at a controlled temperature of 24 - 27 ° C for 12 - 18 days. The wine then matures in barriques and tonneaux for 18 months before being bottled.
Castello di Brolio is a wine with an intense and bright ruby red color. The nose opens with rich and refined hints of spices, which then leave room for notes of red fruits. On the palate it has a pleasant aftertaste of red fruits and pepper, balanced by a good minerality. Overall it is a very elegant wine with character.
Perfect to accompany red and white meats cooked on the grill, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
