It could be trivial and, at times, dangerous, to talk about the differences between the Langhe and Bolgheri terroir, where richness of soil and exposure to the sun are never lacking. The producer certainly stands out, thanks to the imprinting he gives to his wine, interpreting the harvests, choosing the cuts of the grapes after selecting the vines. The best wines are distinguished from the splendid ones, such as in this case the Magari of His Majesty Angelo Gaja, able to satisfy any type of palate, from the most profane to the most demanding.
A wine with a perfect structure which, offering the eye a very bright ruby red, opens on sensations of wild berries in jam, cherries in alcohol, then musky and fungal notes wrapped in spicy and balsamic hints. Fresh, savory and with tannins perfectly fused to softness, it closes very long on balsamic notes.
With all the wild game, roast and jugged, with first courses based on meat sauce, with aged pecorino di Pienza.
