The Chianti Classico Riserva is produced only in the most deserving years.

It is a wine that comes from the selection of the best Sangiovese grapes in general from the oldest vineyards of Casavecchia facing south and from the Sicellino vineyard planted in the 70s with north-east exposure; they are both vineyards rich in stone, with particularly low yields per hectare.

Soil: clayey-calcareous with abundant stony skeleton

Altitude and exposure: 430 mt. s.l.m .; South and NE

Average density: 4,000 plants per hectare

Training system: Guyot and Tuscan Archetto

Vinification: natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts in a concrete tank with a long maceration of at least 4 weeks

Aging: matures in small and medium-sized oak barrels (5/25 hl) for 22/24 months during which the malolactic fermentation takes place. Once bottled, it is refined for at least 6 months before being marketed

Production: 6,000 bottles + 200 Magnum 1,5 lt.
