A splendid valley - that of San Lorenzo - overlooked by some of the best vineyards in the Chianti Classico area: vines belonging to old plants, from which the grapes are harvested to obtain this Grand Selection of Castello di Ama. A red that ranks at the qualitative heights of its denomination, characterized by a remarkable harmony in the aromas, and by a velvety and energetic taste at the same time. This Chianti Classico will introduce you to all the power of the Sangiovese of Tuscany, letting you understand at the same time how much elegance the lands of Chianti are able to offer. It is a red that ages for a year in barrique, but above all it is a red that, without fear of anything, can stand up to comparison with all the greatest Sangiovese-based wines with closed eyes.
It has a beautiful intense ruby red in the glass, bright and elegant. Strawberries, morello cherries, plums and dark pulp fruits generally harp the olfactory, which then develops on hints of tobacco, licorice, leather and mint. On the palate the tannins are well smoothed, for a full-bodied and energetic but always balanced sip. Long persistence and refined closure.
