The decision to experiment in Tuscany was taken by Angelo Gaja in the mid-eighties, when the need to continue to express all the energy and potential that a company of that caliber had became clear. It was no longer enough for him to have to wait for the good vintages to bottle, he wanted to be sure that he could always do it better and better. The choice of Tuscany was almost obligatory, thanks above all to the climatically more favored place than Piedmont and now, along that fantastic road that is the Bolgherese, among all the signs of the most famous companies, its tidy but exciting, splendid in its simplicity, as well as the wines it produces there.
Bright ruby red, distinctly smells of black fruits, jam and sweet spices, coffee, dried plum, black pepper and roasting aromas. It confirms body pleasantness also in the gustatory phase, it is warm, moderately savory and with a precise tannic texture.
Pappardelle with wild boar ragout, grilled Panzanese, Roman-style tripe and large aged pecorino cheese.
