Merlot di Santa Maria, which takes its name from the cru dedicated to it by the company after more than 25 years of Merlot cultivation, combines the fruity notes of the grape with the elegance and freshness typical of Vignamaggio and the Greve area. Aged for about 20 months in French oak barriques and then continued with a refinement in the bottle for at least 6 months. Pairings Pork fillet with berries or a first course of ravioli with black cabbage and potato cream. Also recommended with appetizers accompanied by chickpea hummus and herbs. Color Deep, saturated ruby color with flashes of carmine red. Aroma Fragrance of blueberry, plum and cherry followed by notes of sweet tobacco and fresh pine needles. Taste Harmonious and juicy, full but not invasive on the palate; the tannins are soft and sweet with a persistent and spicy finish. Alcohol 14.5% vol.
