Terrain: the typical soil of Tuscany is rich in clay, limestone and fragmented rocks, the so-called "galestro" and "alberese", located at an average altitude of 350/400 meters. above sea level. The climate is continental, with relatively low average temperatures in winter (4-5 degrees C), and the dry and hot summers in which the mercury column sometimes rises above 35 degrees. We have significant temperature changes during the day, which are partly due to the rather high altitudes.
Vinification: Selection of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the vineyards of the estate. After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and softly pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for about 10 - 15 days, with frequent pumping over to facilitate optimal extraction of color, polyphenols and greater complexity and soft tannins.
Aging: 10 months in oak barrels, 6 months in barrique and 4 months in bottle.
